I am one of the top two armchair quarterbacks in my house. For years I have been able to, most of the time, call the next play for our offense. And most of the time, it was frustrating as hell to watch. Yes, we have been dominant, good to great and winning a ton of games, but I always envied what I saw other teams do on offense.

I have figured out what I REALLY like about this year’s Buckeyes…the UNPREDICTABLE PLAY! I have not seen defenses sitting on their heels almost every play like I have so far this year. Nothing slows a defense down more than too much thinking on the player’s part. And that is what this year’s play calling is doing to opposing defenses. And I couldn’t be happier!

So Mrs. Spi and I continue to watch the games together and I am comfortable with my new status as one of the bottom two armchair quarterbacks in my house.
