Ohio State's 2019 roster is loaded with talent, but there's certainly a lot of other players throughout college football who could help the Buckeyes this year, too.
That leads us to this week's question: If you could take any player from any other college football team's current roster, and add that player to Ohio State's roster this year, who would you choose?
There's a lot of different directions you could go with this one, but my pick for this year would be LSU safety Grant Delpit. That's not to say that Ohio State needs an upgrade at safety, because Jordan Fuller and Brendon White are both very good players who I believe could have great years, but Delpit is arguably the best defensive playmaker in the country – and after the struggles the Buckeyes had on defense last year, I'm taking someone who can be a difference-maker on that side of the ball.
He's a big, athletic safety who can line up all over the field – meaning he could play both the deep safety and bullet roles in Ohio State's new defensive scheme – and his ability to hit hard and make plays on the ball would make him a major weapon in the back middle of the Buckeyes' defense.
That's just my opinion, though – I believe there are many valid choices depending on what you think could help the Buckeyes most right now and any other strategy you might incorporate into your pick, so weigh in with who you'd choose.
