Braxton Miller's bid to make the Philadelphia Eagles' roster has come to an end.
After losing multiple backup quarterbacks this preseason, the Eagles waived Miller on Saturday to clear up a roster spot to sign journeyman quarterback Josh McCown.

Miller, a former Ohio State quarterback and wide receiver, spent last season with the Eagles' practice squad and was vying to earn a spot on the team's 53-man roster this season. He recorded two catches for 13 yards in the Eagles' first two preseason games.
Now, however, Miller will hit waivers, where the rest of the NFL's teams will have the opportunity to claim him if they believe he could be a fit for their rosters.
The Houston Texans selected Miller in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft, but waived him just before the season last year after he caught just 34 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns in Houston.
