As of now we're currently in very strange territory. We have a team that on some weeks has looked better than anyone in the country (Nebraska, Michigan State, the fourth quarter against Penn State) and then has looked absolutely clueless on others (Oklahoma, Iowa). We also have a team that has very decent odds of making the B1G Championship, where it would play against a Wisconsin team that really hasn't played a single team on our level the entire season.

We have a playoff field where we are one of a small handful of 2-loss teams that have a non-zero chance of making it.

But let's assume we don't make the playoff and don't win a national championship this season. What does it then take to make this a satisfying season? What does it take to make this an acceptable season?

Would a win against Michigan make this season a good one, even if we stumble against Wisconsin? Would you be okay with winning out only to be left out in the cold when the committee makes it picks?

How about our bowl game? Would you really be satisfied if we got matched up with UCF in the Peach Bowl?
