In 1995, No. 4 Ohio State traveled to Madison and beat the Badgers 27-16 on this date. The Buckeyes have won four out of five games on the 14th of October when playing on the road and ranked.

  2. The first game played on 10/14 was in 1893. The Buckeyes beat Wittenberg 36-10 at Recreation Park. 
  3. Ohio State's largest margin of victory on October 14th was against Oberlin in 1916. Head coach John Wilce and the Buckeyes overwhelmed Oberlin 128-0 that day. That is a school record for points and margin of victory. 
  4. The Buckeyes are 6–2 when ranked and playing on October 14th. The losses were to Minnesota in 2000 and Purdue in 1978.   
  5. 1933 was the last time Ohio State played an out of conference team on this date. The Scarlet and Gray defeated Vanderbilt 20-0 in Columbus.
