The Golden Arm Award is presented annually to the top college senior or fourth-year junior quarterback who is on track to graduate with his class. Barrett, a fifth-year senior who graduated in December, was previously named as one of 15 finalists for the award last year.
At the halfway point of Ohio State's regular season, Barrett has completed 111 of 174 passing attempts for 1,513 yards with 16 touchdowns and only one interception. He also has 60 rushing attempts for 311 yards and three touchdowns.
No Ohio State quarterback has ever won the award. Clemson's Deshaun Watson won the award last year.
