Well this forum section is about as easy to traverse as war-torn Europe right now, so another negative thread might be ill-advised. But then again, good advice never stopped me from making a bad decision.
In 2014 Bosa had the "shrug,"
Zeke had the "feed me,"
and the entire team seemed to genuinely enjoy playing the game.
I've never been an advocate of post-play celebration or gloating, but there is a serious lack of #swag (sorry) on our team right now. And further, the team doesn't "play" the game anymore. It seems as if they're just trying to do their jobs, and they play with the joy of a middle-aged paper salesman at the cubicle.
Where is the joy? Where are the smiles, the hugs, the (healthy) trash-talk, and the celebrations? Has Urban's success put so much pressure on the team that the players don't even enjoy trying to uphold them? Are the fans being so overtly critical that the players don't feel the need to play for them and their university? Has Urban become less of a coach and too much of a CEO?
I miss seeing this
and this
and mostly, this
I'll keep it short today fellas. I hope the pictures brought back some good feelings, but are the current players having fun? They are just kids after all. Let's see some more smiles and some more ballin' out. Stop blaming execution, playcall, etc. and somebody just go make a play for your team of brothers.
