Height disadvantage in the secondary?

Just trying to see if anyone has any thoughts about why OSU's secondary struggled to contain Indiana's Simmie Cobbs Jr. (6'4")

To my untrained eye, it almost seemed like a purely height disadvantage on Ohio State's part. Also, it can all be taken with a grain of salt since obviously the secondary is young and still learning. Damon Arnette (6'0") seemed to struggle the most at defending Cobbs, but even when Denzel Ward (5'10") was switched onto Cobbs for a few drives, Ward covered well, but was beaten at the point of attack purely because of the height difference. It looked like Sheffield (6'0") was the only CB that could reasonably limit Cobbs.

If the issue early-on this season is really the physical lack of height (esp. the best overall CB) vs. mental lapses/growing pains... It could potentially pose a problem this weekend with Oklahoma's top-3 pass catchers being CeeDee Lamb (6'3"), Jeffery Mead (6'5"), and Mark Andrews (6'5") with an objectively better passer in Baker Mayfield getting them the ball.

Either way, Kerry Coombs has yet to give us any reason to doubt his abilities as a CB coach, and there's no real reason to start now. Just food for thought on a boring Sunday.
