Found the only IU football site that actually discussed their football team and not counting down to basketball season. Below are things I found interesting.
IU has won 5 straight home openers mostly against inferior opponents. Apparently this is a big deal; (3) of those wins vs Indiana State.
Last year the Hoosiers were 6-3 when they rushed for 100+ and 0 and 4 when they failed to eclipse the century mark.
1988 is the last time IU best OSU. After the 1987 loss to IU Coach Bruce said "This is the darkest day in Ohio State football since I have been associated with it."

Allen said there was no decision made yet on Simmie Cobbs headed into opening night after he was arrested and charged with resisting law enforcement last month.
Cobbs was arrested at a Jason Aldean concert last month.
Records indicate that the refusal to identify incident happened around 9 p.m. Saturday. Cobbs was booked into jail about an hour later. The resisting law enforcement incident happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
I'm guessing a quarter to a half suspension will be likely. (?)
IU is really using the game for everything they usually would a basketball game.
The story-lines and events surrounding the game are overwhelming. Former head coach Kevin Wilson will be making his debut as Ohio State’s offensive coordinator the same night that Indiana native Tom Allen coaches his first home game as an FBS head coach. Lee Corso is being honored after the first quarter with the Bill Orwig Award, the highest honor Indiana bestows to a non-alumnus. ESPN is giving the game, its first primetime telecast of the 2017 season, special attention by having a “MegaCast”, something they have only done for College Football Playoff games previously. The popular pre-game show, “College GameDay” will be in town and broadcasting from the south end zone beginning at 6:00 pm. Famous anthem singer and IU Music School alumnus Jim Cornelison is singing the national anthem and Memorial Stadium is expected to be sold out. To paraphrase Ron Burgundy, this game “is kind of a big deal”.
If the offensive line can hold their own, it will be up to Richard Lagow to show the improvements he has made and IU’s stellar receivers to take advantage of a rebuilt Ohio State secondary that is heavy on talent but thin on experience.
