Trying to shake off some of the disgust with the continued struggles of the Offense and hoping to help others to do likewise. How about the strong effort put forth all year by the Buckeye Defense!? They played consistently well all year, after entering the season loaded with question marks. Even with the understanding that there will likely be some NFL attrition, I'm very encouraged and optimistic about the prospects of maintaining 2016's high productivity, and possibly even exceeding such going forward. 

Food for thought:

• McMillan finished very strong and was terrific down the stretch. May have been the best player on the field vs both UM and Clemson
• Malik Freaking Hooker
• Conley and Lattimore both had very strong seasons. They were a tremendous duo, competed well and contested everything.  
• Jerome Baker's emergence (Remember, Booker was the initial starter at one OLB spot and we can probably look forward to both he and Hilliard coming back from injury next year. K Jones opened many eyes in limited duty. Lots to like.)
• Sprinkle should be back healthy next year
• The DE rotation is stout, and N Bosa is absolutely as-advertised. Hubbard had a very strong game vs Clemson. T Lewis exceeded most expectations.
• Landers and D Jones exceeded most expectations and show promise at DT
