People wanted the death penalty for Ohio St and for him to be banned for life. It all seems laughable in light of what has happened since then in college football. Look what's happened since players got free tattoos, Baylor, Penn St, academic cheating, domestic abuses, Minnesota, etc... how perspectives have changed.
