Outcome: This unusual circumstance would allow the CFP to reward a playoff spot to Ohio State while maintaining the sanctity of conference championships precisely because the Buckeyes would have beaten two conference champions, on top of which Ohio State measures favorably per the other key factors within which the CFP considers the value of conference championships, whether strength of schedule, big wins (especially on the road), eye test, stats, etc.
