Our first two Heisman winners both played quarterback and halfback--at a time where yes, the game was very different. In 1944, Les Horvath's passing stats for the season were 14-of-32 for 344 yards and 6 touchdowns. Against BGSU last week J.T. was 21-of-31 for 349 yards and 6 touchdowns. In Les' defense, however, he did run for 924 yards and 12 scores, while J.T. only managed 30 yards and 1.

In 1950, Vic Janowicz passed for 561 yards and ran for 314, for a total of 875 yards and 16 TDs. Last week OSU combined for 776 yards of offense and 11 TDs (one on defense).
