77-10. Wow. The speed on offense is incredible. But even after such an impressive performance I have some concerns.
First concern is D-line, Sprinkle going down is not good and I feel for the young man. The D-Line looked solid holding the point in the run game but Hubbard and Lewis did not impress me in the least when it came to generating a rush. Obviously they are good players and they proved that last year but I think it's going to take a Bosa to replace a Bosa and I think copper and/or Berry should be pass rush specialist in certain situations like Tim Williams was for Alabama last year.
DB, clearly Hooker is a superstar in the making and Conley is solid but The DBs were either a little lost or soft in coverage at times and if Bowling Greens players could learn to catch I feel like they could've moved the ball a bit in the passing game.
Both pass rush and DB play has to improve or better teams are going to move the ball consistently against our pass D.
Depth at Tackle on offense, I about lost it when they said Jamarco Jones went down. I think Prince and Bowen would be fine but after that I'm concerned.
WR... What? (I'm being extremely picky here) After Saturday how could anyone be concerned about WR? Well my concern is the size of our WR.. Only Brown is Physically imposing and while he's very good I'm not sure he's Micahel Thomas caliber. I guess my concern is going against a team like Alabama.. Their DBs are elite across the board and I think it takes more than a bunch of fast 6' 190 lb guys to show out vs a defense like that. I'm really hoping Mack develops quickly and I'm still bummed about Gibson. Having one more 6'2" 210+ skilled WR to go along with Brown could make this a very very good offense, even against an elite defense like Alabama. Like I said I'm being picky, this group will excel against most of the schedule.
TE, Baugh and Alexander had too many drops, if they're going to be legit weapons they can't be out there without their hands.
LB depth. Is Booker Hurt? Burger is obviously a good player, but having a walk on as your second guy up is obviously a bit of a concern. Also a walk on is second up at the MLB spot, again Fada is good but Hilliard and Conner need to come on and do it quickly.
RB depth, losing Dunn Hurt, Weber and who else are the between the tackle backs? Obviously Samuel is an elite player but I don't see him going between the tackles 20x per game if Weber goes down. I think we have to burn Williams redshirt if Weber has an injury at any point this year that will keep him out longer than a week.
