Before the Utah game, I'd never really watched a lot of Harbaugh coached teams on the field. All the hype had built expectations.
Getting a look behind the curtain Thursday night did wonders for me. For starters: Everywhere Harbaugh excels, Meyer does too. Mariotti, Pantoni, Warriner, and the rest are the best at what they do and nobody will field a better conditioned, more prepared or more tightly knit unit than Ohio State. So, for Harbaugh, his greatest strength is at best a push. He will never out muscle Ohio State like his Stanford teams did against Oregon. He will never out work or out focus OSU either.
Additionally: there are two critical areas where (IMO) Harbaugh fails to measure up. One, Meyer will recruit better talent to Ohio State. And two, Meyer's system looks like it's a generation ahead of Harbaugh.
