I've never been overly impressed with Tyvis Powell and the long TD pass he gave up in the Bama game almost threw me over the top. I am obviously an arm chair coach, but my God Eric Smith looks the part of an outstanding safety.

Who do you see as a better choice Powell or Smith? These two remind a lot of Grant and McMillan. Grant gets the starts because McMillan is young, but McMillan's up side is much higher. I truly believe our defense would be better with Eric Smith as our starting safety over Powell.
