Just another preseason prediction for the sake of arguments... hopefully for but good for a discussion in either case. Spoiler Alert! Make sure you read all the way through, you'll love the nugget @ the end...
The Ohio State Buckeyes have brought home the Heisman Trophy, the top individual award in the sport, seven times (twice won by running back Archie Griffin). One ESPN employee thinks that number will be up to eight by the end of this season.
Former Buckeyes quarterback Kirk Herbstreit, who serves as an analyst on College Gameday and on Saturday night football games on ABC, went on "Mike and Mike in the Morning" on ESPN radio and made his prediction:
"Ezekiel Elliott of Ohio State will win the Heisman Trophy this year." - @KirkHerbstreit of @CollegeGameDay pic.twitter.com/QE8SwNxrq5
— Mike & Mike (@MikeAndMike) August 26, 2015
Elliott is one of the front runners for the award, but he may face competition from his own backfield from whichever quarterback gets the starting nod from head coach Urban Meyer.
Herbstreit also believes that there will be an upset in the SEC. He thinks the Tennessee Volunteers will win the East Division in 2015.
Enjoy!
