I ask this because I don't know nor is there any " stand out" type information about him that lends to the hiring making sense. Was this a smart hire ? The husker QB development over the last few years has not been remarkable. Nor has the offensive production outside of the run game. I'm just trying to understand why I should be excited about Beck. Not pursuing Burrow in itself makes me think he isn't that smart, esp. because Joe was interested.
