For the 1000th, playoff related topic...
It seems that the ongoing discussion is number of teams allowed in the playoff system. 4. 5, 6, 8, 12, 16? Yes, larger than 8 would never happen but we as fans know complaints and money drive change.
But if you think about it, do we consistently have complete teams in the top 6 every year? Or do you include 2-loss teams to be in the playoffs? (Last time top six had one loss or less, 2010. OSU #5)
Just a thought, everyone wants the teams to play in but I fully support four teams. You get the best and only the best are in the top 4. Maybe for the first year, we have this unique situation where there were 5-6 great teams.
I just love the intensity those games brought and lived up to. It also eliminates the lesser teams from giving up if down by plenty (FSU).
