Year after year, the Badgers have an outstanding running back and have talent piled up waiting with bated breath to fill in. Id say they have easily produced some of the best backs CFB has seen the past 10 years or so.

• Melvin Gordon - I think we're all well aware of his accomplishments. 
•  Montee Ball - NCAA all time leader in rushing touchdowns(77), and total touchdowns (83). Two time B1G running back of the year. Doak walker award winner. Finished his career with 5,140 yards rushing, and 598 yards receiving. 
• James White - 2010 B1G Freshman of the year. Wisky record for longest run from scrimmage (93 vs. Indiana last year, finished the game with over 200 yards rushing). Ran for over 100 yards 17 times throughout his time in Madison. Finished his career with 4015 yards rushing, and 670 yards receiving
• John Clay - 2009 B1G offensive player of the year. 2010 Doak Walker Award Finalist. Finished his career with over 3000 yards rushing in just three seasons
• P.J Hill - Third most leading rusher in Wisconsin history. Ran for over 1,000 yards in his first three seasons(1 of two players to accomplish that feat in badger  history). Rushed for at least 100 yards 19 times. Finished his Career with nearly 4000 yards rushing in just three seasons.
