Ohio State is among the leaders of D-1 schools with the most varsity team sports but 19th for the most national championships among NCAA sanctioned sports with 30 (Stanford is first with 128) and fifth in the B1G. For all the team sports the school supports, it would be nice to bring home a national championship in more of them.
I’m assuming most of us agree football and men’s basketball are the obvious top two so please exclude them from your suggestions. In the past 10 years, OSU has won national championships in Football, Men’s Volleyball, Women’s Crew*, Pistol*, Fencing*, Wrestling, and synchronized swimming* (*not recognized as a team sport by the NCAA).
What team sport other than football and men’s basketball would you like to see The Ohio State University win a national championship in?
