Before anyone screams "preseason polls don't matter!" or "polls don't matter with the CFP!" please know that I understand and share your sentiment. However, just for the sake of discussion, the Coaches Poll has been released. Here is a link to the poll: https://www.espn.com/college-football/rankings
A couple of tidbits:
- Only 4 B1G teams enter the season ranked: #2 OSU, #4 TTUN, #14 Sparty, #20 Wisconsin
- Texas, while ranked #18, received a first place vote (Sark, you devil!)
- 6 SEC teams make the top 25, but only 4(!) in the top 20; FWIW they have 2 in the top 3 with #1 Bama and #3 UGA
- ND checks in at #5, so week one will be a top 5 matchup
- Is it me or is TTUN (#4), ND (#5), TA&M (#7), OU(#9) and Okie State (#11) getting too much love?
- Is Wisconsin (#20), Texas (#18), and USC (#15) being undervalued?
Should be a fun season!
