So I was watching Cornell play Princeton (until the Cavs started, anyway) and was pondering Princeton's winged helmets: different colors, but same style as Michigan's famed headgear.
So, question: which school is generally thought to be the first to wear the wings?
Would you believe that while Princeton wore the design before Michigan, the first college football program to don the (leather) wings was ... Ohio State?
