Besides the awesome beat-down of the Badgers yesterday, several other significant games have changed the landscape and outlook of the B1G playoff chances.
First off, (spoiler alert) none of this matters and our Bucks run the table 15-0 and bring home the trophy.
That aside and in an alternate reality , should the unthinkable occur, there are definitely more 2 B1G playoff team scenarios that are now possible and certainly a one loss B1G winner is in now based on the following:
- TTUN Throttling ND killed their slim spoiler status - ELIMINATED
- The OK upset by KSU puts a serious damper on their playoff chances based on:
- Texas getting upset by TCU to go to 5-3 (no other "good or great" teams in B1G for OK to impress anyone
- Still undefeated Baylor is equivalent to Minnesota
- Texas getting upset by TCU to go to 5-3 (no other "good or great" teams in B1G for OK to impress anyone
- The PAC 12 is garbage and their best hope -1 loss Oregon team has struggled against both the Washington teams
That leaves likely shoo-in Clemson with a spot and even with 2 SEC teams getting in, a 1 loss B1G winner seems a lock now.
With a 50/50 chance of more chaos in the SEC, it could leave the B1G with 2 potential teams in the playoff (out of OSU, PSU, Minn)
