Alabama QB Tua Tagavailoa had the same injury and surgery that kept Jonathan Cooper out atleast* 4 weeks. He missed the first 4 games and came back, not at 100%, for Nebraska. We do not know Exactly when Cooper had the surgery so its hard to say exactly how long he was really out. Bama has LSU in 3 weeks. If you watched Mac Jones struggle against the vaunted Volunteer defense it may be easy to come to the conclusion he wont be out dueling Joe Burrow. Would you play an injured Tua? Can Bama survive LSU at home without him? Will Tua get back to full health before the end of the regular season?
The scariest scenario here is Tua not playing and Bama loses to LSU and the loss gets thrown out by the selection committee.
Its the surgery Jonathon Cooper had. No injuries are exactly the same, but Cooper wasnt back in two weeks. https://t.co/J25ONbysK9
