The NCAA is at it again. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/2019/06/24/ncaa-california-schools...
This bill, which would allow players to be compensated on their names; likenesses; and images beginning in 2023, has already passed through the California Senate and if signed into law, the NCAA could put a ban on every California teams from championships.
Yes, I get the NCAA has a rule that players can't be paid, but being a native Californian, this hits a little close to home. As a Buckeye fan, my first interest is for the Buckeyes to win championships, but as a Californian, I can't help but pull for the teams.
Do you think the NCAA is right in issuing this ban if the bill passed, or are they taking it too far with this? What's your take on this?
