Dennis Dodd thinks so...
This was an interesting read in that Dodd basically says he thinks football is probably as bad a what we are seeing unfold in basketball with the shoe companies and agents directing kids places and paying people under the table. He claims football is just a whistleblower or a wiretap away from being busted.
But there are several arguments as to why football is different than basketball and may not be subject to the ills.
One are that he calls out is the 7 on 7 teams that have become so popular. I'm not familiar with those and the influence shoe companies have on them. Anyone have an opinion there?
Cue the SEC bagmen article, I know...
