Irish Illustrated has learned that Florida, Pittsburgh, Michigan State and Wisconsin are the primary contenders for Zaire. With Notre Dame’s season complete, Zaire won’t have the conflict of bowl practices to prevent visits to other programs during the coming weeks.
Last season, Zaire was injured in the second game as quarterback against Virginia breaking his ankle and he never fully returned as Notre Dame’s starting quarterback, as DeShone Kizer took over the role.
This season, the Ohio native had 122 yards passing and one passing touchdown. He also rushed for 34 total yards in his eight appearances. His lone start this year was at wide receiver for the Irish.
