So I got the wife on board with purchasing some new power tools this month. We just moved into a new house with A LOT of DIY work to be done and I just don't have everything I need (want). I've been a long time user of DeWalt (other than a corded Ryobi jigsaw) and so will be sticking with that brand for battery consistency and they've been pretty good tools. Here is what I have currently (all 20v):
- Drill/Driver (about 8-9 years old)
- Reciprocating Saw
- 5" Sander
- Circular Saw
Here is what I'm looking to pick up (in no particular order):
- Impact Driver
- Compact drill/driver (w/hammer function would be nice to have)
- Router
- Miter Saw (corded, dual-bevel)
- 16ga Angled Nailer
- Oscillating Saw (maybe)
I've been looking at all the package deals available at Lowe's and HD for this month and after a few minutes, I just get lost in all of the choices available, especially when it comes to the XR, Brushless, Atomic options. Does anyone have good ideas about where I can get the best deals/value for the tools I'm looking for? Figuring I'm going to be spending $1k to $1.5k total and trying to avoid getting a tool I already have in my arsenal.
