Time to get dead serious here in the forum. 

The lunchroom at work had a giant can of “Deluxe Mixed Nuts” today, and while I was picking through the good ones (I know, I’m a heathen) I started to wonder…what does 11W Nation think? 

Since we’re all a little nuts, and we cheer for nuts, why not rank ‘em too?

Here are the nuts listed alphabetically that I encountered today:

• Almonds
• Brazil Nuts
• Cashews
• Hazelnuts
• Pecans

Here is my ranking:

1. Hazelnuts (my favorite crunch and you only see them in mixed nuts)
2. Almonds
3. Pecans
4. Brazil Nuts (actually a guilty pleasure of mine in small doses for their “Earthy” taste, but still not near the same level as the others)
5. Cashews (if they were all the ones that are a little over-roasted so they have a nice crunch they’d be higher, but overall they’re too soft for my liking and thus also usually broken up too).

The gauntlet has been laid down.  What say you?
