Time marches on. Cartoonist Gahan Wilson has passed away. For those of us who are of a certain age, we remember Wilson's renderings of the weird in Playboy and National Lampoon magazines. I felt Wilson set the table for absurd humor to go mainstream with Gary Larson's Far Side, Dan Piraro's Bizarro, and Mark Tatulli's Lio. Of course back in the day, any Playboy magazine on campus was read solely for the educational value of the aricles. Wilson had a damn good run of 89 years. RIP
