Unless you are a Warriors or Bruins fan, you probably gotta love the fact that, on consecutive nights, two franchises won their first-ever league championships.

And in just the past three years, we have also seen the Washington Capitals, Houston Astros, and the Cavs win the first titles in their respective franchise histories, as well the the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Cubs win their first titles in almost 60 years and more than 100 years respectively.

It gives even a longtime Knicks fan like me hope that perhaps the promised land is just around the corner.

The bottom line: I really enjoy seeing long-suffering fans finally get to experience the thrill of witnessing a championship—that is, unless that fan base is located in Ann Arbor.
