The Arizona Cardinals select Marvin Harrison Jr. with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
A watershed moment in metal history, the band Dio released their debut album today in 1983. Combining talent from Ireland (Vivian Campbell on guitar), Scotland (Jimmy Bain on bass), and the good ol' U.S. of A (Ronnie James Dio on vocals and Vinny Appice on drums), Dio was an international tour de force.
Propelled by hits like "Don't Talk to Strangers", "Rainbow in the Dark", and "Holy Diver", the band's debut album was the opening salvo of a 17 year career. The lineup would change and Ronnie remained the only constant, but the power and consistency would remain. The band sold over 10 million albums and inspired at least that many wayward youths to stand up and shout.
