My wife and I will be in Topsail for 2 weeks. Her family goes there every year, so we are familiar with the island shops, but we are normally only there 4-7 days and my wife won't leave the beach. This year, we got lucky and are spending a week with my family for a wedding and then staying the next week with her family. So with some extra time on our hands, is there anything we should do nearby?

**side question for anyone familiar with this area. Last year we were at Tsunami surf shop and the worker told us about a little mom and pop diner. It had a little bit of everything, seafood, steak, etc and was across the street from a church and on a body of water (not sure if it was a lake or part of the ocean). Would LOVE to go back as it was the best meal we had down there. Thanks for any help
