Hello, everyone. New semester, new classes, same old me, same Music Medley.
Today we're starting off with one of my favorite bands, Tengger Cavalry. This song, "Cavalry in the Thousands" is one of their newest and features a scintillating mixture of modern metal instrumentation, folk influences, and Mongolian throat singing.
Up next is a song from another of my metal favorites, Opeth. This song is slow, deliberate, and quiet. The lack of any drums or bass means that the composition isn't smothered by noise, and that Mikhael Akerfeldt's vocals and soft guitar can breathe and bloom. This is "Weakness."
Next we have a song from English artist Rex Orange County. This is "Never Enough."
Last, we can't go without a little hip-hap. And who raps better than Kendrick Lamar? This song comes from his newest album, DAMN. This is "DNA."
