What's up everyone?

Now that the college football season is all but over (and the Buckeyes' season over), it's time for us to look back and reflect on a flawed but all in all successful Buckeye season, and to look forward to the next one.

Now the offseason is upon us, and let it be a short and merciful one.

Today's edition is a special Ohio-themed edition, so all the songs will be about Ohio. Let's get to it.

First up is a song from a band I don't really like, but damn is this song titled well. "Ohio is For Lovers" by Hawthorne Heights is the only HH song I've ever really listened to, and likely their most well-known hit.

Up next is a song that I imagine a lot of you already know, but it would be criminal not to include it in this lineup. This is "Bloodbuzz Ohio" by The National, from their excellent album High Violet. It's a song about alcoholism, disconnection from your roots, and nostalgia.

I love Modest Mouse, but I don't actually love this song of theirs (bit too slow and long and repetitive, and I think Isak Brock leans too much into the strung-out, hoarse sound that typifies some of his vocals from the band's middle years)--still, it's impossible for me not to include it in this list. This is "Ohio" by Modest Mouse.

And up last, an oldie but a goodie. This is from one of my favorite blues legends, Blind Willie McTell. This is "Statesboro Blues."
