A Quartet of Birthdays today in music history.

Singer and songwriter Taylor Swift is celebrating her 27th.  Known more for her list of celebrity boyfriends, Taylor was the youngest solo artist to write and record a #1 hit on the U.S. Hot Country Songs with the single "Our Song."

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville at the age of 14 to pursue a career in country music. Crossing over from Country to Pop, she released Fearless in 2009 which became the best selling album of the year and netted her 4 Grammy Awards, including best album, making her the youngest to win that award at the age of 20.  You can argue about her music, but you can't argue her success.  Swift  is the recipient of 10 Grammy Awards, five Guinness World Records, one Emmy Award, 21 Billboard Music Awards, 12 Country Music Association Awards, eight Academy of Country Music Awards, and one Brit Award. Swift is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 40 million albums—including 27.8 million in the US—and 130 million single downloads.

Singer-songwriter and pianist Amy Lee, lead singer of the band Evanescence, turns 35.

Amy Lynn Hartzler was born in Riverside, CA but moved a few times during her childhood (Illinois, Florida and Arkansas). She began writing music at the age of 11 and has over nine years of classic piano training.  She briefly attended Middle Tennessee State University in 2000 to study music theory and composition but dropped out to focus on Evanescence.  She met Ben Moody, co-founder of the band, at a youth camp when he heard her sing Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" on the piano. Lee is also the American chairperson for the international epilepsy awareness foundation Out of the Shadows.

Guitarist, vocalist, and co-founder of the rock bands Blink-182, Tom DeLonge is celebrating 41 years today.

Thomas Matthew DeLonge Jr. grew up in Poway, CA skateboarding, playing guitar and writing music. DeLonge originally planned to become a firefighter, and participated in the San Diego Cadet Program.  He received his first guitar in 6th grade and a trip to Oregon in 7th grade where he was introduced to bands like Dinosaur Jr. and the Descendents sparked his interest in punk.  He formed Blink-182 with bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Scott Raynor during his high school years, after he was forced to attend a different school because he showed up drunk to a basketball game.

After Dude Ranch and touring with the Warped Tour, they fired Raynor due to tension and heavy drinking.  Travis Barker, drummer for tourmate The Aquabats, filled in for Raynor, learning the 20-song setlist in 45 minutes before the first show. Barker joined the band full-time in summer 1998, soon after the band released Enema of the State and launched them to stardom.

*Can you spot everyone's favorite 'WTF' gif?

He is also the guitarist and lead vocalist of the rock band Angels & Airwaves
Huh?!  2011, DeLonge launched Strange Times, a Web site devoted to extraterrestrial life, paranormal activity, cryptozoology, and conspiracy theories.

Recently (as in the past few days), there have been rumors about a Blink-182 reunion

Last, but certainly not least, Rock Legend Ted Nugent is 68 today.  You can read all about Teddy right here, care of John Cooper's lucky pig.
