Came across this story about the 6 greatest drinking stories involving Andre The Giant on Fox Sports yesterday, figured there would be no place better to discuss world-class drinking exploits than the 11W forums. 

Highlights:

ANDRE DRANK 108 BEERS IN 45 MINUTES BEFORE A FLIGHT

which seems near impossible, but then you see what a 12oz beer can looks like in the hands of a giant..

 

Andre used to ask me to get him six bottles of Mateus wine and ice them down. He would drink those before we went to the ring and no one could tell.

I've seen his interviews....some of us could tell.

Three people shared the story, no one disputed the number.  That's 55 liters of beer.  Adjusting for scale, I think that would set the bar somewhere around 95-100 beers for the 'average' man.
