BattleFrog

Like many of you, I was puzzled by the sponsor of this year's Fiesta Bowl. BattleFrog sounds like a video game from the early '90s. Instead, BattleFrog is an extreme obstacle course designed by Navy SEALS. The company holds events/races across the country.

BattleFrog In Their Words

From battlefrogseries.com:

THERE IS NO OBSTACLE BIG ENOUGH TO STOP YOU

Each BattleFrog features an 8KM course and at least twenty-five obstacles expertly placed into unique terrain to be challenging, fun and mentally engaging. BattleFrog features an exciting American-themed race festival with music, food, entertainment, fitness vendors and plenty of viewing areas to catch all the action. Every obstacle is completable, as BattleFrog is designed to bring together participants of all skill and experience levels.

BattleFrog On TV

In June of 2015 the BattleFrog College Championship was found on the ESPN2 airwaves. The three episode series had enough viewers that a second season is happening. In fact, they are now accepting applications. As suggested by Teddyballgame, perhaps this is why BottleFrog is a sponsor to a prominent bowl game?

In last year's competition 16 schools vied for "coveted trident cup and academic scholarships." Not surprisingly, the United States Military Academy won the event. However, like this year's CFP, The Ohio State University did not compete so the championship is null and void in my eyes.
