Schottenstein Real Estate Group, started by the namesake for Ohio State's Jerome Schottenstein Center, is planning to a 23-acre project adjacent to the Arena District in Downtown Columbus, according to Columbus Business First.

The project, called "Grand Central," will be a mixed-use development with a resort-style feel.

Initial planning includes three hotels, with one featuring a rooftop restaurant, plus a grocery store, conference center, extended stay hotel, restaurant row and boutique retail.

President Brian Schottenstein calls it the "nicest and highest-end" project in the area, but did not share how much it would cost.

"Columbus has really come of age," managing partner Corey Schottenstein added. "National partners are starting to notice and are reaching out to us."
