Michigan Will Paint Its End Zones Blue for the First Time in Program History

Herbert "Fritz" Crisler brought the winged helmet design from Princeton to Michigan in order to help his quarterback see receivers down the field.

Now, Michigan is hoping some color will help its footballers find the end zone from time to time. The program announced it will paint its Big House end zones blue for the first time in program history:

Because nothing can be done up north without a nod to the history of the program, the blue end zones are a callback to the 1998 Rose Bowl and "many other" Wolverine bowl games.
