A late rally couldn't quite lead to a win at Michigan State.

Back-to-back losses sent the Ohio State basketball team down a notch in both polls. The Buckeyes were ranked third by the coaches and media last week, but fell six spots to No. 9 in this week's Coaches Poll and eight places in the AP.

The Big Ten is well represented in both polls. Wisconsin and Michigan State are ranked third and fourth, respectively, in each set of rankings, while Iowa is 14th (AP) and 16th (Coaches). Michigan and Illinois are receiving votes.

Ohio State returns to action Thursday at Minnesota, not exactly an easy place to end a two-game skid.
