Bay Area Buckeyes will have the privilege to watch Chimdi Chekwa make a potential immediate impact next season with the Oakland Raiders using the 16th choice in the 4th round (113th overall) on the Ohio State cornerback.

With star corner Nnamdi Asomugha all but certain to be headed for greener (emphasis on green/$) pastures, Chekwa should have every chance to step in opposite Stanford Routt with potentially only the likes of Walter McFadden and Chris Johnson (no, not that one) set to be his competition.

Chekwa becomes the second overall Buckeye taken in the 2011 NFL Draft.
