Were it not for 11W, I would be blissfully ignorant of the recruiting process. 13THandSummit 30 Jun 2013, 10:38 am Ditto to this ditto. Geraffi 30 Jun 2013, 10:51 am Ditto cubed. Urban Nation Army 30 Jun 2013, 3:36 pm Ditto4 Bet you can't say "Bert Bielma is a bumbling buffoon" five times fast. twalsh 30 Jun 2013, 7:12 am I always watched Ohio State recruiting, and man have we had some good recruiters, Coach Tressel, Coach Cooper (great recruiter just couldn't won the big games), but man Coach Myers is on fire, just can't wait to see who next!! Go Bucks! droessl 30 Jun 2013, 7:28 am Coach WHO!? Buckeye in Illi... 30 Jun 2013, 12:35 pm Nick Myers, Ohio State LAX coach. Columbus to Pasadena: 35 hours. "We're on a road trip through the desert looking for strippers and cocaine... and Rose Bowl wins!" twalsh 1 Jul 2013, 9:17 pm Great Job That One Got By Me! Bucyeye in illi you make a great follower!! TMac 30 Jun 2013, 8:03 am I'm thinking even 11W follows/reports more CFB recruiting now than 3 years ago. ONE Not Done! DannyBeane 30 Jun 2013, 8:15 am I started following recruiting with Terrelle Pryor was being recruited. But that was nothing till I started visiting 11w. It's become an obsession. However I still refuse to follow recruits on twitter because that's creepy. UrbanCulture 30 Jun 2013, 5:51 pm Same. I thought I was a major insider because I followed TP's recruitment. I was wrong. Badly. Hovenaut Mod 30 Jun 2013, 8:49 am Sure do, via the good folks at 11W. Not sure how you follow OSU football without doing so. http://days.to/7-september/2015 Rock on. CentralFloridaB... 30 Jun 2013, 9:44 am I fully agree with the comments above. All of the folks at 11W have done an outstanding job to help those that love Buckeye sports keep really well informed even in the offseason! Go Bucks! MN Buckeye 30 Jun 2013, 10:31 am While I have always been a huge fan of OSU football, I only became interested in recruiting about two years ago. I had never been a blogger or poster on any site, but after following the 11W conversations for well over a year I decided to jump in. Where else would I learn about the best microbrews, the best restaurants in just about any city, or that Bucksfan changed his icon. And the writers here are the very best. yrro 30 Jun 2013, 11:21 am Only because "skimming articles on 11W until I realize they're about recruiting" is more than "none." I love hearing about guys after they get on campus. Until then? I really wish it was easier to ignore. Baroclinicity 30 Jun 2013, 3:57 pm Right on. Again, I appreciate the efforts of the staff though. It's the gazillion other threads about it that get cumbersome. When you're holding a hammer, everything looks like a nail. yrro 30 Jun 2013, 8:18 pm Yeah, I don't mean to complain at *all* that 11W covers recruiting. I just dislike the system. NoVA Buckeye 30 Jun 2013, 3:27 pm I follow it less. Just started focusing on other things in life The offseason begins when your season ends. Even then there are no days off. Earle 30 Jun 2013, 4:10 pm Yes, but I am just a little ashamed of it. Snarkies gonna snark. pjtobin 30 Jun 2013, 5:43 pm I guess I follow it more? Only because I follow 11w. So if it is a story on here, then I follow it. I don't read, or follow any other site. Just 11w. And I wouldn't follow our recruits on twitter, if I had a twitter account. Bury me in my away jersey, with my buckeye blanket. A diehard who died young. Rip dad. OSUNeedles 30 Jun 2013, 5:58 pm I followed recruiting pretty closely 5-7 years ago and then had a resurgence when I started following 11w. I have fallen off again because it is too cumbersome. I like seeing when people commit and then I will read some things, but trying to keep track of everything takes too much time. Also... I had the opportunity to talk to Ryan Shazier the day before National Signing Day this year and asked him if they paid any attention to recruiting and he said that recruiting is for the coaches and that they don't get into it that much and play with whoever shows up. I figure, if the players don't pay a lot of attention, why should I. pjtobin 30 Jun 2013, 6:36 pm This is kinda my take on it also. I like to hear about our new kids. Just so I know who to cheer for. I know our coaches are going to get the best of the best to wear s&g. So I don't get to attached to a kid who hasn't signed with us yet. Not that I don't want them, or I don't like them. And even then some kids leave, or don't pan out. My opinion of the kids our coaches are looking at doesnt rmean squat anyway. It does help to know a little bit about our recruiting. The whole water cooler, family reunion , after church, type of atmosphere. Where you want to look a little educated on our future Buckeyes. I try to never act like a no-it-all. But knowing a little never hurts. Bury me in my away jersey, with my buckeye blanket. A diehard who died young. Rip dad. thowen79 1 Jul 2013, 1:37 am Basically, I follow recruiting when I have regular access to the internet. For about 4-5 years I wasn't able to follow it too closely, but now with internet and 11w I can keep up with it as much as I want. Buckeyevstheworld 1 Jul 2013, 1:42 am More thanks to Buckeyeplanet, and 11w. "YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
