Heyward gets the nod because his presence on the field, and the opposing team's necessary focus on him, frees the rest of the defense to make plays.  He has demonstrated, time and again, that he is a beast to block, occupying two and sometimes three blockers.  My number two would be Homan, who is the quietest tackling machine I have ever seen.

Homan.

He is the most underrated and underappreciated OSU linebacker since as far back as I can remember.
