Another Buckeye officially joined the team Tuesday afternoon after practice.

On the first day of fall semester, redshirt freshman kicker Tyler Durbin booted a 62-yard field goal. Urban Meyer rewarded him by removing his black stripe.

Durbin hails from Fairfax, Virginia. This is only his second year of football, but in a previous life he played soccer at James Madison University.

A civil engineering major, Durbin walked on to the team in spring 2015.
