Shazier Officially Signs with Steelers

By DJ Byrnes on June 6, 2014 at 11:03a

Ryan Shazier, the 15th pick of the 2014 NFL draft, is officially a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers now.

Yesterday, Shazier signed a four-year deal with his new club. As reports, the deal has a signing bonus of $5 million and is in the range of $9 million in terms of guaranteed money.

So congrats to former Ohio State great Ryan Shazier, who is now a certified millionaire.

As a Cleveland Browns fan, I'm going to lay my laptop down and go for a walk while I contemplate watching Shazier play against my team FOR THE NEXT DECADE.

As a diehard Buckeye and Steeler fan, I am jacked to see RDS destroy Johnny Douchebag for the next several years.  Definitely wasn't expecting the Steelers to take him but I know he'll make Steeler Nation proud that they did.  Good Luck Ryan!

"I am jacked to see RDS destroy Johnny Douchebag..."

The knock on Manziel coming in (besides being a complete doocher) was that he couldn't take many hits on Sunday.

And the Stillers just signed an QB destroyah in RDS.

He might only sack Manziel just once.

Awesome. Real happy for this guy. Shazier is going to do very well. And although I am a Browns fan 24/7, and my fiance is a stiller fan, I still watch out for buckeye players on the black and gold

Shazier and Heyward are the only two reasons why I'd ever watch a Steelers game.

I believe the plan is to build a Silver Bullets graduate school in Pittsburgh.

No love for Mike Adams, Will Allen, or Bryant Browning?

Considering it was Silver Bullets graduate school, Mike Adams and Bryant Browning don't count, plus, isn't Will Allen getting a little old to still be in grad school?  Unless he's the post grad doctoral dude.  He's been in Pittsburgh a while now.

Awseome for him, his family, and the Steelers.

Also if DJ had that much money, he would be a millionaire Marionaire (or something like that).

One of the greatest Buckeyes & defensive minds ever in Dick LeBeau is also a Steeler! Congrats to RDS!

Being a Colts fan, I'm pretty much indifferent towards the Steelers. However, they do have a reputation for producing great linebackers, and they're starting with an already very good product. I'm excited to see what he can do in the league.

...and Michigan still sucks.

I do not enjoy the facts. The facts are the Steelers are one of the best franchises in all of professional sports. The Browns are one of the worst, bad owners and bad managers. Shazier will brake Manziel in two. I hope I am proved wrong.

I'm a Browns fan first and a Cardinals fan second (I've been converted these past six years in AZ). So when I saw Shazier was drafted by the Steelers, I was not happy to hear it. I hate the Steelers almost as much as I hate TTUN. I then find out that Hyde gets drafted by the Niners. Cards fan here hate the 49ers with a passion. So two of my favorite players these past several years are now both playing for my mortal enemies in the NFL. So best of luck to RDS and El Guapo...except for about four games this next season.
