It was an overcast Saturday afternoon at Westerville North High School for The Opening's regional camp in Columbus and the rain was off and on throughout the day.

But some of the Midwest's best football prospects gathered to perform with the hopes of earning an invitation to The Opening finals which take place in July. In the end, seven players total were invited: Offensive lineman Jordan Reid, wide receivers K.J. Hamler and Donovan Peoples-Jones, tight end Matt Dotson, defensive backs Ambry Thomas and Jamyest Williams and linebacker Antjuan Simmons.

In addition to Simmons, several other Ohio State commits competed, as did some of the Buckeyes' top targets. There will still be additional The Opening invitations extended once all the regional camps conclude so Buckeye commits like Josh Myers and Jake Moretti, and top target Lamont Wade, who surprisingly did not get invited Saturday, can still find themselves in Oregon when July rolls around.

Here are some of the top Ohio State commits and targets in action Saturday.
