BUT, it could explain why the B1G is where it is. If the majority of the conference coaches can't recognize talent...well, that would explain a lot...and they obviously can't recognize talent, even when it kicks them in their keester.

Precisely why I voted "other." I even saw suggestions that Coach Meyer isn't making many friends, but when did this become a social circle or popularity contest? Our coach was hired to win football games. Why should that ever affect how the coaches vote for the conference selections? No wonder the B1G sucks right now...

Ha ha, but are you sure that Big Ten coaches are sufficiently tough and work hard enough to qualify, under BOB's standards, are true f'ers? For example, if Hoke were a f'er, he'd probably lose about 75 lbs from sheer coaching effort. Now, there's no question that Hoke is a serious, hard-core f'er when it comes to all-you-can-eat buffets, but I don't think that's what BOB had in mind.
T-Magic was close, and sometimes surpassed Brax in quite a few statistical categories, however Braxton was much more enjoyable to watch than a whiney, bitchy, mouthy Husker.
Shazier got the snub 100%. He was tied for 2nd in tackles, led the league in sacks and TFL for linebackers. Thats alrigth tho - it will just add a bit more fuel to the fire for Shazier's 3rd, and probably last year with us.
Urban did say he wanted an "angry" team next year .... well disrespect is often a good way to anger players and OSU got disrespected by the All-Big Ten votes this year.

While I feel that the whole team got snubbed by the coaches, I was shocked that Martinez was the first team QB. There is no way that he is a better QB than Braxton considering how he played against us and UCLA

definitely all of the above. its all a joke. it usually is and it is getting worse. Meyer will get snubbed. Tressel couldn't even open his office door because all of the big ten championship trophies were stacked so high and he was never coach of the year. Meyer will face the same crap but with even more animosity. May as well tack 70 on them all, they won't like you anyway...

I agree with others on this thread. It's unfortunate for the individual players who were snubbed, but great for the team . . . it helps Urbz to stoke an "angry football team."
I would beg any Spartan fan to give me a logical case for Shazier falling behing Bullough. Not to say the guy didn't have a good year, he did-but he played sound middle linebacker. He made tackles and seldom impacted games. The second half of the season, there might not have been a linebacker in the nation let alone the B1G playing better ball than #10. In terms of how he impacted games, he really had no rival not named Jarvis Jones (who is a hybrid rusher anyway).

The fact that these caches overlooked all these players when tOSU went 12-0 and beat every B1G team on their schedule is terrible. And the players voted ahead of some of the Buckeye players didn't even come close to our guys statistically. It shows two things. 1) these B1G coaches are bitter. 2) they obviously cannot evaluate talent.

Like I said the other day on a thread about why the Big Ten sucks, Big Ten coaches are not dedicated to winning national championships. They're lousy recruiters and even worse gameplanners. If they're sour about Urban Meyer, then they're douchebags. If they just don't know how to recognize talent when they see it, then I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

Hey, some of that generic brand shredded cheese can be pretty damn good. For example, fry up a half pound of bacon with four eggs, and then melt about 16 ozs of various shredded cheeses on top. Roll up that mess in a XXX large burrito shell, top with nacho cheese sauce, 5-6 dollops of sour cream, and 6 ozs of browned chrizzo. Yummy!

Can I get an A and C choice? They both are equal snubs in my opinion. I mean c'mon really who would you rather have at LB the guy from Wisky or Shazier. Miller v. Martinez not even a question. One is going to NYC for the heisman and the other isn't even mentioned.

Could you IMAGINE if the coaches do not vote Urban COY? He would scorch the earth in the big ten next year, they are giving him too much ammo with these snubs.

I voted Roby, but it should have been all of the above. The B1G coaches are douchers. They can't beat us so they try to piss on us. Let 'em! Urban and the team know what's up, and so do the rest of us.
Secondly, the BTN can't have all Buckeye first teamers. They need to act like the other teams have talent too. The rest of the B1G know wwe are the team to beat, each and every year. That's why they hate us. Good! You guys keep on raining and we'll still be the parade.
You guys seem to have the roby, shazier and miller snubs handled. So ill go ahead and talk about the big fellas. How are you going to have on of the top ten rushing attacks in the country, and only one of our road graders on the first team? In particular, how can you not show fragel the love? He was a tight end for 3 years. Then bulks up and is an outstanding right tackle. And not to mention, a physical specimen on top of it. He has potential to be an absolute stud in the nfl. Its f'ing ridiculous he didn't get any love for how well he played. Aside from the whole ghost of shugarts false start issues early in the season, you'd be hard pressed to show me a right tackle who played better in this conference.
Went with Shaizer, since we know (hoping) Xbrax360 will make 1st team in the future (not that he did not deserve it this year). As someone mentioned earlier (and non-sports center espn folks), this could be the most low-profile undefeated in regular season team of all time, and that can have a lot of play in what happened in these awards - a twisted sense of "preseption is reality" in my opinion.
