I mentioned yesterday that Stamper, who went to First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida, has been someone that First Coast LB and Florida commit Daniel McMillian talks to regularly about his college decision, and is helping to recruit the four star prospect to Columbus.

I'm sure he is being hired for a lot of great things but to bring in the guy that would bring along a great 4* linebacker is an excellent move. Not to mention sounds like Stamper recruits Florida very well!

@Alex... If we are not pursuing Stevens or Foster and turned down Story... Does this mean the staff is banking on Gibson and hoping for Quick to finish out the skill positons in this class? I know they're still recruiting North, but I read he is most likely to stay in the south...
This is a great move. It helps us recruit in one of the richest recruiting pond and brings some SEC urgency to our coaching staff. This guy will have instant credibility with present players and future recruits. I love the attitude and leadership accolades he got from the Fla. coaching staff. Welcome Ryan!
I think Gibson is in personally...pending off the field stuff taken care of...Timmons and Allen serviceable options if not and Quick is still on the board...i think they likely take 1 more WR with Quick being a possibility if there's room for 2
